Saturday night C cooked burgers, waffle fries, baked beans, & green beans for supper.
Sunday morning C baked brownies, and encouraged me to have ice cream and brownies for breakfast. I did.
After church we met A&C and Matthew at Luckys in Roswell. I followed your lead and ordered the Undertaker. Very good. Anna ordered fried pimento cheese balls for the table. Also very good.
Got home and took C’s car for gas and air for the tires. Also stopped by a thrift store.
Monday: didn’t leave work until 5;30 but made it to my men’s Bible Study on time (early). Very good. Matt led, on the prodigal son and his brother. Matt even brought over a charcuterie board. At David R’s house, with Reid, Joe, and Brian. Didn’t get home until 9:30. In bed shortly after ten.
Up early this morning to run for a second straight day.
Caroline Hargreaves’ wedding is this weekend in Auburn AL. Anna & Caleb will be there. Caroline and her fiancé were just a table over from the Whitakers at Anna’s wedding. I should’ve done a better job of making introductions that day.
When Caroline was in junior high on a school trip with Anna that I chaperoned, she was excited to learn that since I was Claire’s “brother” and Claire married her cousin Andrew, that meant she and Anna were “related”. Caroline still remembers that to this day, over 15 years later.

KIRBY PUCKETT [SABR Bio] once won the All-Star Game MVP. After starting the game as DH, Puckett was used at 2B, SS and 3B in an extra inning victory on 10-Sept-1995. He handled only one flawless chance at 2B during this contest. Quoted in the Indy Star - “I can play anywhere in the infield, as long as the darned ball doesn't come to me”. He scored the fewest runs for any player who had at least 215 hits in the same season. In 1989 Puckett had 215 hits and reached base a total of 259 times, yet scored in only 29% of his reaches, a total of 75. For contrast, in Joe DiMaggio’s sophomore season, he also had 215 hits, but scored 151 times. Kirby was among the top three vote getters for AL MVP three times. In 1987 he trailed George Bell and Alan Trammell. The next year he finished behind Jose Canseco and Mike Greenwell. In 1992 only reliever Dennis Eckersley got more votes.
