I like shows with families and kids. The interesting thing about Young Sheldon is that it’s the boyhood of a TV character from another show, The Big Bang Theory. On that show Sheldon told stories from his childhood, and several family members visited him as an adult – except his father, who Sheldon said had passed away before Sheldon went to grad school.
Now Young Sheldon has run its course. Sheldon matriculated from elementary through high school and college, and is about to move off to grad school. His father, a beloved father on the show, went off to work last week. Later there was a knock at the door. His fellow teachers with the bad news: Sheldon’s father had died of a heart attack.
The trailer for Thursday night’s Young Sheldon hour long series finale has been revealed.
More on the Young Sheldon series finale.
Macon native Carrie Preston will make Emmy history. Her Elsbeth character has previously been nominated for best supporting actress. Now she is being nominated for best actress in a leading role for the same character.
Hawks get the number one overall pick, much to Lang’s chagrin. Everyone and their brother is saying it’s the weaker draft ever. Perhaps the strongest WNBA draft ever. 680 asked who was your team’s best ever first round draft pick.
For the Hawks it was Luka Doncic, topping Pete Maravich.
Braves was Chipper. Falcons was Nobis, Deion, then Matt Ryan. Bart was no slouch. Vick was too often hurt or indisposed as a Falcon. The Charlotte Hornets best ever number one pick?
Ozuna: doesn’t seem to be trying to hit home runs, but instead focusing on making contact. And when he makes contact, the home runs and RBIs are following. Nice that the Braves were on Fox on Saturday and ESPN on Sunday. They’ll be on ESPN again next Sunday. Braves usually lose when on ESPN.
WNBA openers on ESPN and / or ESPN2 tonight. Caitlin got her 20 points.
Bothers me when people uses Sunday School and worship as a snack bar, coming and going as they please. Isn’t as bad in our Sunday School. Not too many latecomers, and almost zero snacking. I do use the Bible on my phone. To save paper our class distributes the discussion questions via an app on or phones. Since we’re in groups, any visitors will be in a group with someone who has them. Rattling those wrappers sure bothers me. Or candy wrappers or people who cough. Guess it’s good they are in church.
When Ceil was in Paris she went into a drug store and the pharmacist was most helpful. Sold her some wonder thing that cured her cough. Now she needs to figure out where to order them here in the States.
Monday: went to Wendys for lunch. Took 15 minutes to get in and out. Took them that long to get my order into their computer. Had a deal to get a sandwich for a buck with any purchase. I ordered a $2 sandwich, so the total should’ve been $3. They scanned and scanned and finally got it in. Total charge was $2.00, but they got one of the sandwiches wrong.
Research reveals that AI is learning to deceive humans. Sounds exactly what a human would do.
Caught up on all my junk emails this weekend, up to this morning before work. Deleted over 700 emails, and tried to unsubscribe from a bunch. Maybe that’ll slow down the flow a little.
