Have you ever heard about the TV show “The Chosen”? It’s actors playing Jesus and the disciples, acting out stories from the gospels. Very realistic and good. VERY GOOD. Worth it just to watch the Jesus character, as well as the Matthew character, who is kinda a not-so-funny Sheldon Cooper.
Our neighbors Lee and Ginny Bates recently traveled to Texas to take part in the filming. Friday night we went to a movie theater in Dunwoody to watch the premiere of The Chosen season 3. First time I'd set foot in a theater in years. Some still wore masks.
NEWS: Anna secured tickets to see Taylor Swift TWO times, the Friday and Sunday concerts. She is almost as excited about that as she is the wedding. Just kidding about that last part.
I would like to take vacation next Monday but have so much to do. Two coworkers off on Friday. Had to fix a super complicated $200,000.00 problem for my old department. They give gifts to some people for helping them out, but never me. Trying to get like three projects of my own done so I’ll need to work Monday. Lots of others will be off.
Dinner Thursday night with A&C was good. C prepared a Mexican feast. Had to clean up after they left, then I went to bed. I had left work at 5:20 to rush home for the dinner, instead of working late.
Friday: met friends for an early dinner. One guy is retired and the other got laid off, so the wives wanted to meet at 5:15 for dinner before the show. I’ve got too much work to keep leaving early every day.
Saturday: was too cold to play golf in the morning. Then work around the house and watch football. Raked leaves.
Anna’s company High Country is opening a new store over in Peachtree Corners near my work. Anna will have to work there the Friday after Thanksgiving. Caleb may work there Friday as well, since it will be busy. This past Friday Anna left the new store and headed to Athens, which took her past my office.
