Wednesday's 80 Mile Trip

I don't know how in the world Jimmy Carter can make comments like that after teaching Sunday School for 60 years. Incredible. We truly live in the last days.

Wednesday: Left work just before six. Nancy gave Ceil a roast. Ceil loves the beef. At eight I had to drive M to Douglassville. First we had to stop and get gas for the 80 mile round trip. Then there were lane closures, then a car fire shut down two lanes of traffic just before our exit. Then M had forgotten deodorant so we had to stop at the grocery. More lane closures on the way back. Got home well after ten. So that was my evening.

The Braves win 6 of their last 8 games and all people can talk about are the two they lost. The season has been better than most expected, yet should they fade everyone will act like they were World Series favorites.

Usually over the course of a year one or two new red lights are added to my regular route to work. Well as of today I have one less stop sign. The Eves Road / Riverside Drive intersection near the river was reworked and the stop sign taken out.
