Piling On

People continue to pile on UGA for their poor performance. Expectations sure are high. In his first three seasons Kirby’s record is almost exactly the same as Mark Richt’s first three seasons. Except Kirby made it to the national championship game. Will be even tougher going forward with almost every team in the SEC East expected to improve, especially Florida.

Fields, Hardiman, Ridley, Holyfield, and Nauta are all leaving. Will Cook transfer as well? He stands to gain more playing time next year. Probably sick of the fan base and former players blasting them. Kirby has talented backups and recruits lined up to take their place. May not be too deep at receiver, but there’s still time to recruit – and accept transfers as well.

No pictures today. Those guys ain't worth the extra time. Except this oldie of Paul Gibson. Never remember him wearing that facemask. And note the thick red stripe on the socks - exactly like the Falcons wear now with their throwbacks. I only remember the thin red stripe that matched the sleeves.
Probably good football is almost over. I've about had enough of it. And politics. And social media. Maybe I'll lose my phone and start working out more.

Wednesday: not much to report. Worked past six. Drove straight home. C and A had gone to Costco and Publix. Homemade pizza for supper (with leftovers for lunch on Thursday. M came home from work with takeout from El Porton.

Ceil watched the live stream of the Passion Conference: a total of 40000 college students/young adults gathered in four different arenas: downtown at State Farm Arena, Gwinnett’s Infinite Energy Arena, Dallas’ Theater at Grand Prairie, and The Anthem Arena in Washington DC. Louie Giglio spoke, and there was a rumor Justin Timberlake would be making an appearance.

I played on my laptop while listening then went to bed before ten.

Thursday: worked until 6:20. Anna’s last day at Madewell up at the Avalon near El Felix. She came home and ate with us, then cleaned out her room. Anna heads back to Athens today, and works tomorrow at High Country. Classes start on Monday.

Ceil grilled boneless chicken breasts and baked regular and sweet potato wedges, with onion and brussell sprouts mixed in. Also tossed salad. We cleaned up, then A and C went upstairs. I played on my laptop and watched a classic episode of WKRP in Cincinnati and the special on JFK Jr.

Friday: yes rain rain rain up here. Poured all the way to work.

Tomorrow Joel and Charles Norman have the grand opening of their new coffee shop, Bellwood Coffee. Will has been helping them set up.  Anna and Ceil and Matthew went over today to visit.
