Bowl Blunders

Picking bowl games just doesn't work out for me. Liberty beat Georgia Southern. BYU failed to show up against Hawaii. Once again Miami failed to generate any offense, playing all three QBs - hoping one would catch fire. No wonder the Canes are firing their offensive coordinator. At first all the breaks are going Eastern Michigan's way.

UGA has lost an offensive lineman for the Sugar Bowl due to academic difficulties. Not looking good for them.
Interesting top 50 college players of all time, a first team and second team. QB Roger Staubach with RB Herschel and Jim Brown lead the first team. Specialists PK Sebastian Janakowski won two Groza Awards with Ray Guy as the top punter. UGA's Kevin Butler was the second team kicker..

Good article that cuts through all the "fans" jumping to conclusions about Fromm's abilities. The experts aren't fooled.

Got a pair of running shoes for Christmas. Not sure they're the best for me. May try on other brands before deciding. Today I also shopped for a new briefcase satchel to carry my laptop in. Some guys use backpacks but I'm not sure I want to go there.

The other night we watched a few of the Peyton Manning clips were he interviews important historical figures for the NFL's 100th anniversary. Never knew manning had the highest ever fantasy football season score in 2013, when he threw 55 TD passes. made me wonder where Herschel ranked in his best season, when he led the NFL in total yards.

2013 442 Peyton Manning
2006 426 Ladanian Tomlinson
2003 344 Ladanian Tomlinson
1973 342 OJ Simpson
1988 273 Herschel Walker

Lots to do but I'd like to research Christmas Day temperatures over the years. Quite often there's a warm spell in late December. Every time people act surprised. They're not remembering history - even the past five or ten years. Fact: since 2009 the temperature has hit at least 70 degrees in late December every year.

Munched on leftovers all day. Gassed up two different cars. Went to CVS. Could've stopped for fast food but wasn't hungry. Ceil boiled peanuts.

A TV show was talking about a limited edition run of Nike Air Max - with holy water from the Sea of Galilee blessed by a priest infused in the sole. S3,000.00 and they sold out in minutes. Comes with a crucifix.

Tired. Stayed up til midnight. Wild end to the bowl in Detroit. With ten seconds left and after the third down play was stopped, the Eastern Michigan QB punched two Pitt defenders, knocking a ref down in the process. Each punch equaled one unnecessary roughness penalty. Two roughness penalties get you thrown out of the game. The backup QB had to come in for the 4th down play, needing to score a 60 yard TD or they'd lose. They lost.

Friday: up before 8 am. Had to run out for gas, medicine, and Taco Bell breakfast burrito. Left just after ten. Moes for lunch. Bought a pair of brown sneakers. Atlanta traffic. Leftovers for sup. Drove C to the mall tonight.

Anna had a job interview today, for a graphic design firm in Brookhaven. She goes in for a second interview next week.

This afternoon Ceil's brother had to take Cei's mother to the ER. Weak with a cough.
