Friday night: Iowa had a good lead but Clark had missed like 9 or 10 three point attempts going into the 4th quarter. She only had 13 points. Penn State was keying on her, but other Iowa girls were making their shots. Then finally Clark sank a three pointer to break Steph Curry’s record – 83 straight games with a 3 pointer.
The Big Ten Network was running Caitlin Clark’s State Farm commercial as well. She sings the “And like a good neighbor, State Farm is there” jingle. Not very well but as good as Ludacris and better than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Augusta National Golf Club recently purchased a small city park east of their grounds (at 5 times it’s value) to expand an eastern entrance to the course.
Director Ron Howard married his high school sweetheart. She’s been in every movie he’s directed - including Splash, which is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary. Fun fact: the original script ended with Tom Hanks’ character choosing to remain on land when the mermaid he loves returns to the sea. When all of the director’s wives read the script, they each told their husbands that Hanks should give up life on land and live in the sea with the mermaid. The change was made.
Not sure why we have the Big Ten Network on Hulu. We just scroll down the list of what’s showing. They’re in alphabetical order by network but we’re looking at what the program is, not what network it’s on. Or we can search movies by genre, or what game is on by sport. Not sure what network the Hawks were on, but Steve Holman and Dominique were the announcers. They interviewed a Hawk after the game, then as the player went to the locker room he gave away his jersey and shoes.
All the TV and telephone is expensive. And we still don’t get the Braves. When I retire I’m going to make the kids pay for it. Not sure of the costs but something like this.

The Sreisand autobiography drones on. Not sure I can finish it, especially if she starts getting political. I am 22 hours / 30 chapters in (46% finished), with 26 hours to go. And she’s only to her 30th birthday. She married Elliott Gould, dated Pierre Trudeau, Marlon Brando, Ryan O’Neill. Believes in reincarnation, she says.
A couple of years ago a vendor gave me WalMart.com gift cards and I have yet to use them. I have shopped for items on WalMart.com but just haven’t pulled the trigger. Need to get a pair of brown leather shoes to wear to church but haven’t felt like buying anything since Christmas. Ceil has an Amazon Prime account and gets stuff delivered almost every day.
Also I have several rewards from focus groups, and just haven’t cashed them in.
Free senior drinks at the Wendys on Mansell, on the way to WalMart. Seems like every Wendys is different. Hadn’t been to Arbys in a while. Went back on Thursday for two sliders and a Jamocha shake. Asked for a senior drink and they charged me 50 cents. Man those Wendys Doubles have a lot of meat.
I don’t like to go to that WalMart in Roswell. Too many cars. I try to park on the side.
Ceil can project what’s on her laptop or phone onto the TV screen, but I don’t know how. So easy to use my laptop, which has a separate keyboard and screens at work. Sometimes I surf the web on my laptop during lunch. At night after supper I usually pull out my laptop. Other times I’ll use my phone.
AL KALINE [SABR Bio] was the first designated hitter inducted into the Hall of Fame. Kaline first DH’d in 1974, when all but 3 of his 147 games were as a DH. Elected to the Hall on the 1st ballot in 1980. Kaline was just 20 years old when he hit .340 in his 2nd full season, in 1955. He was one day younger than Ty Cobb when Cobb won the first of his record 12 batting crowns. Babe Ruth (1895), Kaline (1934), and John Schuerholz (1940) are the only Hall of Famers born in Baltimore, Maryland. The city has produced 179 major leaguers.
