Last weekend: Man I continue to be on the go. Worked past 530 on Friday. Drove home to discover that C had brought home W&MC’s dog Okie for the weekend. W&MC are celebrating Christmas this weekend with MC’s family down at Callaway Gardens, staying in one of the cabins there. C fixed chicken quesadillas for supper.
Saturday morning I straightened upstairs. Left out at 10 am for Woodstock, here I met up with a bobblehead buyer. Topped off the air in my tires. RaceTrac for a drink. Stopped by Goodwill and bought a crazy orange Clemson shirt. May give it to Ceil’s cousin.
Met the guys at Righteous Que for lunch. Rob, Preston, Shawn, and Reid. We all have sons, and updated each other on our families. Good food and conversation. Then I stopped by the bank, and another Goodwill to drop off a load of donations. Didn’t get home until 230. Did laundry and straightened up downstairs, with Army Navy on the TV.
Saturday evening Christmas party at Reid & Noelle’s. Big crowd. Covered dish. Ham, casseroles, pot stickers, quiche, desserts, and more. Played Family Feud. A good evening. John & Laurel, Rob & Nancy, the Tsangs, Gee & wife, Joe & Jennifer, Andrew & Nathan, Nancy, Zaya, David & Amy, Samir & family, David Reynolds, Matt & wife, Dan & Georgia, Brian, Rob & wife, Jim & Karen, Tabitha & son, and others. Came home and went to bed.
Learned that little Sandy Springs Baptist Church had dwindled down to just a few old elderly members. They went to the Convention and asked for a short list of growing churches. They chose JFBC’s mission church in Buckhead (Christ Covenant Church, where lots of young people go (and Ashley & Diane Corbett, I think)). Sandy Springs Baptist gave Christ Covenant their property plus $2 million dollars, that came from the recent sale of part of their property. Christ Covenant will start up a second location there.
The key to building better friendships.
Though Bobby Jones said there was a big difference between championship golf and everyday golf, these are some of the rules everyday golfers ignore.
