QB Grab Bag

I guess now every year when Notre Dame needs a QB they just make an offer to the best available experienced QB available. Last year the Wake Forest QB, and now Duke QB Riley Leonard. Carson Beck knew he has a good setup at UGA. I doubt he's going anywhere, except eventually the NFL.

Hopefully Beck will at least stick around for the Orange Bowl. With Vandagriff transferring to Kentucky, the Dawgs only have one backup QB for the bowl game.

Next year's wunderkind recruit Dillon Raola just changed his mind a second time, reopening his recruitment to possibly sign with his father's and uncle's and brother's school, Nebraska. I say let him go. I think Kirby is thinking the same thing. Dawgs have another top QB already coming in anyway. Like Justin Fields, Roala is one of those QB's who wear number one. Always look out for those me first guys.

Worked past 6 pm Monday night. Fixed quesadillas for supper. Watched the Netflix movie Leave the World Behind, with Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon. Interesting movie. I wonder if the novel had such a sucky ending.

Then  I watched some of the Manningcast and then the old Tom Cruise movie, The Firm. Quite different from the book, which I liked better. Cruise was too much Tom Cruise, and not enough Mitch. Also starred Gene Hackman, Wilford Brimley, Hal Holbrook, and Nick Nolte.

Tuesday: vacation day. No golf due to the cold and my aching back.

Currently reading "Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murders", by Jesse Q Sutanto. About a crazy lady running a San Francisco Chinatown tea shop.

When I worked in our small office on North Berkeley Lake Road. There was a small loop in the office, so I would arrive early and run the loop.

Caleb has covid. Anna has been working to produce our Christmas card, while not driving around so Goose can look at Christmas lights.
So this past weekend Shivonne had been sick, a virus. Supposedly she was better when C arrived on Monday. C spent all day Monday and then spent the night, and came home yesterday. C worked hard cleaning and cooking for our company, who is arriving this afternoon. This morning C woke up and feels terrible. That's bad because our East Cobb friend Lee's brother passed away, so he and wife Nancy are headed to Arkansas for the funeral. Now C is sick, so it will be up to me to entertain our out of town guests.

I took off yesterday. Slept later than usual. Cleaned upstairs. Took Winnie for a short walk. Had to log in and do a little work. Then some laundry and cleaning. Was able to post over 20 pairs of shoes for sale on Poshmark (just sold the first pair).
Ate most of the leftovers in the fridge for breakfast lunch and dinner.

The Lakers are hanging a banner to commemorate their in season tourney championship.

Came back to work to of course a mess. Yesterday's order didn't ship. No one noticed – except the customer. No stock. Had to set up shipments from Kentucky, Jacksonville, and Norcross. Another order is messed up. Few want to take ownership. Hard to find some one to dig deep to resolve a problem. Ugh.

Some people clean their house before they go on vacation, in case robbers break in and wonder who these people are who are so messy.
