Some politician sent an email with population and demographic numbers for Cobb County school students from 1995 to present. Total has grown from 80,479 to 106,358. Whites have declined from 79% to less than a third. Schools with declining enrollment include Lassiter, Pope, and Sprayberry – all in East Cobb. Schools who increased were Allatoona, Campbell, Hillgrove, Kell, Kennesaw, McEachern, North Cobb, Osborne, Pebblebrook, South Cobb, Walton, Wheeler, and Marietta.
We live in the Walton High district. Walton has gone from over 93% white down to 60%, with the remainder 7.5% Hispanic, 22.7% Asian, 5.9% Black, and 3.7% multi-racial. In a somewhat related note, Walton is playing for the state championship on Wenesday night at Mercedes Benz.

Worked past 7 pm Thursday. On the drive home I realized how tired I was. C had cooked a chicken stir fry. Crashed on the couch.
With my back still sore I skipped the gym and tried to sleep later. The office brought in Chickfila sandwiches and their macaroni & cheese. The fab guys brought in small Jet Pizzas, which I tasted – good stuff.
Crazy John had a fabricator make up metal Christmas ornaments in the shape of coworker Ben – painted and everything. Nice.
Work these days is just so mentally exhausting. Linda like this old Far Side cartoon (below). After work I had to drive down to W&MC’s to babysit.
