Masters 2019

Watched some of the par three tourney last night. Jack Nicklaus said it was the only nine holes he walks all year. Curtis Strange said he didn’t play the par three when he was competing in the tourney, because a missed putt would mess up his head.

Wayne Price shared that when a golfer autographs a yellow Masters pin flag, Masters champions sign inside the USA outline, and non-winners sign outside of it. Might be valuable to get a player’s autograph before he won.

W&MC went to Augusta National this past Saturday for the inaugural women’s amateur tournament. They made it in time for the ceremonial tee shot by Nancy Lopez, Annika Sorenstam, Lorena Ochoa, and Se Ri Pak. Will’s cousin went on Tuesday. Some other friends went as well. Tommy Statham went on Thursday. No tickets for me so far this year.

Masters.org had an interesting article on deciding what to wear to the Masters: Dressing for the Masters: Last Year, This Year, Next Year, Forever.

Speaking of Masters outfits, Rory's shirt had a Nike shoebox on it.

Tuesday: busy day. Worked until near six o’clock. Ceil was at a training session so I stayed late to work on taxes. Got home at 8:15 after stopping by Chickfila for a grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken was good but the special bun was dry. Had I not been driving while eating I would’ve added sauce.

Watched The Kids are Alright and some of the Braves, plus a Gilmore Girls episode. M cooked an egg with cheese and peppers, using the panini press for his sandwich.

Wednesday: started a work project when I got in to work at 7:30. Then I forgot about the conference call I had to get ready for. All that took until after 10:30. Ate lunch early – leftover chicken rice vegetable dish.  Added CFA sauce.

See where some of the Braves players got stuck in an elevator in Denver? Flowers, Culbertson, and others. Jessie Biddle was trying to pry open the door. They had to call the fire department.

Off to another record pace at work. Pulling rabbits out of hats. Customer had a fire at their plant, but it sounds like they’re back working. Left work before six yesterday. Ceil had her small group so I stopped by Taco Bell. Tried their new nacho taco. It was okay. Chicago Med was a rerun so after 30 minutes I flipped over to Schooled. When Ceil got home we watched New Amsterdam.

M brought home a bag of potato chips from Whole Foods, their 365 brand with the flavor called “All Dressed” – a combination of barbeque sauce, sour cream & onion, salt & vinegar, and ketchup. Very good. Before I read the description on the back of the package I had the hardest time figuring out what the flavor was.

Got a million dollar bill. Showed it around at work. A few years ago a man in Cumming gave one of those to his wife, and she took it to Wal-Mart and tried to buy things with it.
