I recently gave a tiny bit of thought to some of the labels that define who I am. Here are some:
Follower of Jesus, husband, father, dreamer, writer, reader, nerd, comedian, scorekeeper, recorder, observer, martha (not mary), type B, kicker, outfielder, runner, walker, bats right/throws left, work order guru, driver, eater, sleeper. Add sinner to that list.
“Bats right / throws left” is somehow symbolic of several of the seemingly contrasting labels above.
