Monday A-Go Go

Monday turned out to be a day spent out shopping – morning, noon, and night. Not a good thing in August with so much tuition due.

6:30 Stinky Kroger on the way to work for cereal and yogurt.
6:45 Roswell Post Office to mail two eBay packages.
11:15 Duluth Park Avenue to buy a pair of trail running shoes (half off).
11:35 Duluth Moes for lunch.
6:20 Johns Creek for four new white T shirts on sale.
6:50 Peachtree Parkway Dollar Tree for Kool-Ade.
7:10 Peachtree Parkway Red Robin for a hamburger.
7:50 Pick up Matthew at McKinnons in east Cumming.
8:25 North Point Mall for a pair of school jeans for Matthew.
8:50 Mansell Moes for Matthew's dinner.
9:00 Ceil made an after-supper East Cobb shopping run herself.

The Red Robin burger was good. I got the one with bacon, egg, and cheese. The runny yoke tore up the bun, but what can you do. I'm not a fan of Red Robin's steak fries so I opted for the sweet potato fries, which were excellent: more crunchy than soft and very tasty.

Moes has a new salsa with corn I want to try. Looks good – of course if it's not too spicy.

Stayed up watching the Braves game until the Giants were retired in the top of the 12th (I think, anyway). A nice comeback win that would've been easier had the Braves leftfielder been taller: he just missed catching those first two home run balls. Clutch 3-6-3 double play started by Chris Johnson in the 11th. Before the season if you said Mike Minor, Freddie Freeman, and Andrelton Simmons would miss time with injuries you'd know the season would go downhill.

See this weekend that the Phillies had called up that pitcher named Nola? He started against the Braves.

A friend of Anna has his football highlight reel on the internet for college recruiters to see. Now the Air Force Academy is interested. A RB/WR who scored several touchdowns for Johns Creek.

Speaking of spying, when I looked up a co-worker on the internet who played water polo in college I discovered a short film they had made in college had been nominated for an Oscar by the Academy of Motion Pictures. That's really something, but I can't say anything because then they'll know I was creeping on them.
