Cam or Andy?

Forget coronavirus. The big issue of the day was...
...which QB would you sign?
Both are nine year vets.
Both have been to three Pro Bowls.
They’ve played almost the same number of games,
with a similar win/loss record.

One has missed almost half as many games as the other.
Has a higher completion percentage.
More TD passes.
Fewer interceptions.
Converted more first downs.
More game-winning comebacks.
Sacked fewer times for fewer lost yards.
Fumbled fewer times.

The media is falling all over themselves wondering why the Patriots haven't signed Cam Newton or Andy Dalton. From what I've read the Pats are perfectly happy playing their 2019 fourth round draft pick Jarrett Stidham. New England is not planning on sinking big bucks in a retread QB. They passed over every QB in the draft, then signed two undrafted free agents: from Michigan State and Louisiana Tech. If Stidham flops the media says they'll can go after Trevor Lawrence next year, but the Pats really don't go after the high dollar bigshots at any position.

Who would you pick?
The QB with the superior stats? Andy Dalton.
The other QB? Cam Newton.
The Cowboys didn't waste time. They made their choice.
Also this weekend Fox Sports South broadcast the pennant-clinching game six of the 1995 World Series. The team got together on a Zoom call to watch the game. The call was broadcast on the Braves YouTube channel, and was great entertainment.

Top row: Greg McMichael, Tom Glavine, Steve Avery, Kent Mercker, Eddie Perez. Next row: Mark Lemke, Chipper Jones, Mark Wohlers, Mike Mordechai, Mike Deveraux. Next row: Greg Maddux, Dave Justice, Leo Mazzone, Ed Giovanola, Brad Clontz. Bottom row: John Smoltz, Javy Lopez, Fred McGriff, Ryan Klesko.

Didn't realize Bill Murray was in the owner's box for game six.
Also in the box with Ted Turner: Jane Fonda and governor Zell Miller.
Above Ted in the white cap and goatee: 680 radio host Chris Dimino.
Not pictured: Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter.
