Purple People Eaters

Last night I was looking at examples of purple jerseys: Vikings and LSU in particular. Raptors dino jersey was interesting. Not considering the dreaded Lakers of course. Was looking for Furman jerseys and stumbled upon the purple jerseys of a school located not far from Furman – a place called Clemson. Their jerseys don’t have the cool stripes like LSU or Vikings, but I may have to at least consider them. Purple and yellow contrasts better than purple and orange.

See where the National League is going to use the Designated Hitter this year? Some big national publication said the Dodgers and Mets were well positioned to make use of the DH, of course ignoring the fact the Braves have five outfielders and two third-basemen – four prime DH candidates: either Camargo, Markakis, Adam Duvall, or Austin Reilly.

Tough night for Grizz Gaming.

Not much to report. M and C whipped but a fancy Mexican dinner last night. Piled mine up all together on my plate: first chips then rice, homemade refried beans, chicken, cheese, and homemade salsa.

After helping with the dishes we watched The Tonight Show and Bon Appetit’ Test Kitchen. A guest asked Jimmy Fallon about his vintage VW bus, and Jimmy picked up his phone and walked outside to give a tour. He even opened the back for a view of the small engine.

Fallon said he likes to drive it when he’s taking his wife out on a date. They receive lots of comments, and people sharing their own VW bus stories. Photographers caught the Fallons and Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Neil out and about in the Hamptons in the bus. Justin and Jessica rocking the Stan Smiths.

Got better sleep last night – 7:42 total, 4:54 quality including 5-1/2 hours of supposedly uninterrupted sleep – but only 29 minutes of deep sleep. At one point I felt like I was awake but pictures were going through my brain really fast. I tried to slow it down my concentrating on one thing. Not sure it worked.

I should set up out on the deck. Ceil cleaned the patio furniture and it setting is beautiful. MC works out on her back deck every day and has been getting some sun. She gets to see all the passersby on the Atlanta Beltway.

Taking off tomorrow. Methinks I’ll be doing a little work this weekend.
