Triple Crown = MVP

Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera was a great story for baseball this year. There has been no triple crown winner since 1967. Surely Cabrera deserves the AL MVP, but I thought I’d compare his overall stats to rookie sensation Mike Trout, just to be sure. Without a doubt, Cabrera wins out.

The third stat line shows Trout’s stats had he kept up his same pace and played the same number of games as Cabrera. Even then, Cabrera’s stats are more MVP worthy.
